Faculty & Staff

The Career & Co-op Centre supports all students on their journey to professional life. We work with students at the career centre, in your Faculty, and via student groups, providing support at every stage of the career development cycle.

Our faculty-based model ensures that your Faculty has a team, led by a Career Education Specialist dedicated to working with your students, bringing expertise on the diverse career paths and industry trends related to each program of study through tailored sessions, training and employer events.

Working with Us

Our Career Education Specialists work with each Faculty to build a Career Development Program which outlines an annual career development program, with sessions tailored to meet the distinct needs of your students.

The Specialist’s core role is to:

  • be a direct channel of communication between the Ryerson Career & Co-op Centre and your Faculty

  • provide support on issues relating to employability

  • plan and coordinate tailored session for academic programs of study

  • design events and source speakers to provide students with networking opportunities

  • provide an overview to Faculty on relevant issues, eg.current employment market trends

Your Faculty dedicated Career Education Specialist also works with our Campus Engagement Specialists, and campus student groups and societies to link their curricular and co-curricular experiences.  For more information, or to become a part of the Career Development Program, please contact your Career Education Specialist directly.
