We begin our hiring process in January in preparation for the staff we will need for the summer and the next academic year. For most of the student leader positions with the Ryerson Career Centre, we hire a large number of students all at one time. Since this takes quite a bit of time and involves a lot of people, we set out a schedule in advance that everyone can follow. Now you know what to expect and what deadlines you need to meet.

Career Boost/Work Study Application Process Dates

All of the Career Centre Career Boost jobs are associated with Ryerson University's Career Boost program. If you get a job offer of a Career Boost position for Summer 2018 and/or for Fall 2018/Winter 2019 before early May, 2018, it will be a conditional offer.

The main condition under which we will offer you this positions is this: it will only become a firm offer of employment once you can show us that you have been approved by Student Financial Asssitance to participate in the Career Boost program. It is your responsibility to apply for Career Boost approval status as soon as possible.

Do your research now. Don't wait for an offer. Know whether you will be eligible before you apply. For more information about the Career Boost program, and eligibility requirements, click here.

We will post the timelines here once they go public, but you can always find that information on the Career Boost web page.
