Emma is a media professional with over 15 years experience in the entertainment industries and possesses a proven passion for launching careers.
As a Career Education Specialist for the Faculty of Communication and Design, Emma is able to combine her passion for the creative sector with her dedication to training and mentorship.
Emma recently led the internship program and professional development within Ryerson's highly sought-after School of Creative Industries' undergraduate program by leading workshops, facilitating career events throughout the year and identifying key industry partnerships.
Emma has worked in the US, UK and Canada across both TV and features, holding positions such as Head of Development at Vertigo Films (Bronson, Monsters, It’s All Gone Pete Tong) and Director of Development at Muse Entertainment (Bellevue, Bomb Girls, After Camelot).
Emma currently chairs the Next Steps Committee with the non-profit media training program, POV 3rd Street. She has volunteered as an industry guest with organizations such as the Canadian Film Centre, National Screen Institute, Ryerson’s Entertainment Conference and has served as a juror for the International Emmy's Sir Peter Ustinov Television Screenwriting Award, Webfest TO and Shaw Rocket Fund’s Startoon Competition.
