Fenella brings to the Ryerson Career & Co-op Centre an extensive background in education working at schools in Toronto, New York, London, Seoul and Melbourne. As a teacher and leader she has coached colleagues and conducted professional development workshops. As a counsellor she has advised students as they plan their academic and professional careers. Throughout her career Fenella has been driven by a passion for helping people reach their full potential.

Inclusivity in STEM Conference

On Tuesday, September 18th, the Ryerson Career & Co-op Centre is hosting  the Inclusivity in STEM Conference: Changemakers. This year’s conference will explore the definition, purpose and power of changemaking in the 21st century. Through open forum dialogue, panel discussions and case studies, this conference aims to illuminate real world challenges associated with STEM culture and examine what inclusivity means and involves, in order to transform and reimagine STEM culture.

Chi-Chi joined Ryerson Career & Co-op Centre in October 2015. Previously, she was Recruitment and Training Lead at All Languages Ltd, where she specialized in hiring freelance translators. She approaches the career centre with a global mindset, having spent four years managing relationships with international candidates and clients. Chi-Chi has strong experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and she is interested in the impact of language and culture on career development.

Chi-Chi has developed and implemented HR programs in the areas of recruitment, training and employee engagement.  She is also passionate about the growing freelance economy and presented her ideas on alternative work options at Canada’s very first DisruptHR conference.

Zeinab joins Ryerson Career & Co-op Center with over eight years of practice as an Business Development Officer, outreach worker and community advocate, and experience in bridging roles both an Employer Services Consultation and a Career Counsellor for  Employment Ontario Funded Programs at The Career Foundation.
With extensive experience as a job developer and strong knowledge of the current labour market and recruitment trends, Zeinab uses her expertise to empower job seekers through career education. She is client-focused and performs at the highest level of professionalism and excellence. She has an Honors degree in Psychology from York University, advanced computer literacy from her studies at Humber College and professional practice at Bell and Microsoft.Thorough training in career counselling and crisis intervention. Zeinab has participated in a multitude of internal and external employment-training opportunities and is dedicated to performing beyond expectations to support and build human capacities through in-depth assessments. Zeinab has also attended several Advanced Seminars in Counselling and has expanded on her Business Analyst certification by regularly attending employer events and local youth conferences.

As the Campus Engagement Specialist for the Faculty of Engineering & Architectural Science, Chi-Chi develops relationships with employers looking to connect with Ryerson Engineering & Architectural Science students and recent alumni. Chi-Chi coordinates and executes information sessions with employers (Industry Connect), panel discussions, and career fairs to connect Ryerson talent with today's employers.
