Computing and Communication Services is pleased to announce that Microsoft is makingOffice 365 Education freely available to:
* all full and part-time Ryerson students
* all faculty
* staff that work in departments that currently participate in Ryerson's Microsoft Campus Licensing Agreement (MSCLA). Staff members should check if their department participates in the MSCLA by visiting: https://www.ryerson.ca/content/dam/ccs/Services/Software/Microsoft/MSCLA-Eligible-Depts_desktop.pdf
Microsoft's program allows eligible users to download and install Office 365 on up to 5 PCs or Macs and on other mobile devices, including Android, iPad(R), and Windows tablets. Office 365 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. Microsoft also provides access to a limited amount of file storage on their OneDrive cloud service.
To register for Office 365 Education, you will need to agree to Microsoft's terms and conditions.
The terms and conditions that you agree to are between you (in your own individual capacity and not as a student, faculty or staff member or agent of Ryerson) and Microsoft. Microsoft's terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.
To get Office 365 go to www.office.com/getoffice365.
You will have to provide Microsoft with your Ryerson email address. Microsoft will send you an email with instructions on how to sign up for Office 365 Education. To complete Microsoft's registration process, you will have to provide Microsoft with your name, Ryerson email address and date of birth. You will also need to agree to the terms and conditions provided by Microsoft. Ryerson does not have an agreement with Microsoft for this service, so the terms and conditions you agree to are between you (in your own individual capacity and not as a faculty/staff member or agent of Ryerson) and Microsoft and this offer is subject to change by Microsoft at any time.
If you're experiencing issues trying to install Office 365 on your PC or Mac, see https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Troubleshoot-installing-Office-with-Office-365-for-business-35ff2def-e0b2-4dac-9784-4cf212c1f6c2?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US.
Microsoft OneDrive is similar to Google Drive (except that Google provides unlimited storage) which all Ryerson students, faculty and staff already have access to, and which is provided under an agreement between Ryerson and Google. Before using the OneDrive storage provided by this offer, see Microsoft's FAQ available at:
