Movi is a personal desktop client that allows you to call other Movi clients and end points to create video conference sessions. This personal desktop video conferencing software is simple to install and use, and can be used for both scheduled and ad-hoc conferences. The address book and recent call lists make it a quick and efficient tool to connect to anyone, anywhere, at anytime. This tool will work both internally and externally to Ryerson's network. (Functions with Windows XP, Vista, 7)

To use Movi:

  1. Email to request a Movi account to be created for you. Once the account is created, credentials information will be provided to you
  2. Download and install the Movi installation file
  3. Once installation is complete, Movi screen will appear. You may also start the Movi program from the Start menu
  4. Click on the advanced button and enter the following information:
    • Internal VCS:
    • External VCS:
    • Domain:
  5. Click OK
  6. Sign in by filling the credentials provided to you
  7. Once logged in, you can dial any user by typing their first name in the search field
