Ryerson’s Centre for Digital Humanities is a founding supporter of COVE, The Central Online Victorian Educator. PI Lorraine Janzen Kooistra is an active contributor to this scholar-driven open-access platform that publishes peer-reviewed Victorian material. Each year, a Ryerson COVE RA has the opportunity to work with this international consortium to markup and publish digital editions and born-digital scholarship for online use in classrooms around the world.
In addition to beta-testing tools and advising on protocols and policies for COVE, Lorraine Janzen Kooistra has collaborated on three peer-reviewed editions to date:
Goblin Market (external link) , by Christina Rossetti (co-edited with Antony H. Harrison et al);
“The Sonnet,” (external link) by Dante Gabriel Rossetti (co-edited with Dino Franco Felluga, Elizabeth
Helsinger, and Jermoe McGann); and
The Were-Wolf (external link) , by Clemence Housman (co-edited with graduate students in Digital Publishing).
Her essay, “Teaching Transformation (external link) ,” which discusses the process of creating The Were-Wolf edition with her graduate students, is published on the COVE Teaching page.
