CERC Migration kicks off its multi-year research project Virtual Bridge: Delivering settlement services through social media with a partner workshop.
The research project aims to analyze the potential for immigrant service providers to deliver settlement services through social media channels. At the first workshop, partner organizations will come together to share their current experience and understanding of social media use by newcomers to Canada, and provide guidance to the research leaders on the steps ahead for implementing the research project. Results will be presented from the pilot project that formed the basis to undertaking this larger venture.
