Student Life

Students in the Department of Chemistry and Biology are an active bunch. There are lots of science-related activities going on, and also lots to explore in downtown Toronto. Check out the possibilities, make new friendships, try something you’ve never done before, and make the most of your undergraduate life.

Course Unions & Student Groups

Zone Learning

Zone Learning is unique to Ryerson. Students from across the university meet to incubate new ideas and create start-ups in everything from biomedicine and clean energy to design and media. Check out our own Science Discovery Zone (SDZ).

Science Lounge

The Science Lounge is a special space reserved for Faculty of Science students. Grab a spot to study or do group work, book the lounge for a special event, or just come to hang out with friends.

Student Learning Centre

This massive community space is an iconic spot on campus. Each floor has a theme, and you’ll find study spaces, quiet zones, casual seating and reclining body chairs, amphitheatre, special events and more.

Explore Downtown

Campus is right at the core of downtown Toronto. The city is bustling with restaurants, cafes, shopping, parks, entertainment, cultural spots and lots of neat places to explore, hang out, try new things or just people-watch.
