The team produces publications for audiences on campus and beyond to inform readers about the achievements of Ryerson’s students, faculty, alumni and staff, and the university’s initiatives. Key themes in publications highlight Ryerson’s role as an urban, innovative university delivering relevant, career-focused education, with faculty who conduct exceptional research focused on real-world challenges. The goal is to inspire the support of the internal and external communities for Ryerson’s mission and mandate.

What we do

Ryerson Today

Produced three times a week, the Ryerson Today e-newsletter is delivered to 38,000 members of the Ryerson community. The e-newsletter and companion website includes news, feature stories, messages from senior executives, event listings, videos, podcasts and surveys, keeping readers informed about university developments and the achievements of campus community members.

Ryerson University Magazine

Ryerson University Magazine

Ryerson University Magazine appears twice yearly for alumni and friends of Ryerson, and presents stories, photos and feature articles that showcase the activities and achievements of alumni, as well as news of interest to Ryerson’s 140,000 alumni. The magazine includes news from the Alumni Relations department and activities of alumni chapters. The magazine is produced in both in print and digital formats.

Special publications

The publications unit is called upon to produce one-time brochures and magazines for particular needs. The 60th anniversary magazine, for example, tells the story about Ryerson’s past and future.

Podcasts and videos

Custom podcasts and videos are created on a regular basis to help tell the Ryerson story.

Feature stories on scholarly, research and creative activity

The unit frequently produces stories highlighting research activities of Ryerson faculty.
