Architectural Science

Our bachelor of architectural science (BArchSc) program aims to capture your potential to help create a better built environment. The integrated program enables you to choose the specialty that best suits your strengths and goals. The first three years of study are foundational. You and your classmates will take the same courses, developing skills in critical thinking and the fundamentals of architectural science. In fourth year, the picture of your career will come into focus. You’ll specialize in one of three areas: architecture, building science or project management. No matter which path you take, you’ll graduate with the perspective and skills you need to design and redefine a more sustainable built environment for the future.

Student Work

As a DAS student, you’ll be busy creating. Our curricular, collaborative and design builds allow you to investigate the built environment both independently and with your peers. Explore our students’ projects, including an outdoor performance venue, a sun and wind study diagram, and Framed: A Distillery as a Public Space.

The program in architecture at Toronto Metropolitan University is fully accredited, for a six-year term, by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB).
