Ryerson faculty and staff: Tell us what you think about safety and security on campus
All faculty and staff are invited to attend an upcoming consultation on May 2 and May 3 to discuss safety and security solutions on campus.
Why we are consulting
Ryerson’s Community Safety and Security department will be conducting consultations throughout the spring of 2019 to discuss the current state of safety and security on campus, the challenges the department faces and some options the university is considering to enhance our service-delivery model on campus.
DiversiPro (an external consulting team) will engage you in a discussion related to:
- what safety and security means to participants
- what challenges you face on campus related to safety and security
- what you think of the service-delivery enhancement options presented
- what ideas you may have that could enhance our ability to serve the campus better
The department will use the information gathered to prepare a proposal for senior leaders on how to improve the service delivery model of the department and to plan for ways to develop ongoing relationships with community members to maintain accountability and transparency.
In addition to this session, we will be conducting several other consultations and meetings with various groups of students, staff and community partners.

Your confidentiality will be ensured when you provide feedback at the consultations. While we are asking for registrants names, emails and affiliations for registration, any and all input provided during the consultations will remain anonymous. Notetakers will be present but no recording devices will be used.
