Computer Undergraduate Courses

Our mission is to prepare students for future success. An in-depth introduction to engineering principles in first and second years is followed by a diverse selection of upper-year courses. As part of your bachelor degree in computer engineering, you will design and build computers, develop firmware and build networks with stability and security at the forefront of thought. Between coursework and real-world experience through our popular co-operative internship program, you’ll develop the skills needed to enable communication, control systems and advance information technology.

A full description of each course can be found in Toronto Metropolitan University's Undergraduate Course calendar under the Computer Engineering Program.

The Software Engineering Option

Beginning in third year, you may choose to focus your studies on software engineering. This option integrates software programming and computer science principles into the hardware component of the computer engineering program. Students in this option learn how to program and create software, while also understanding the architecture of computer systems, leading to an exciting career as a developer, software architect, computer systems designer or data engineer.
