Ph.D. chemical engineering graduate, Reza Eslami, has been recognized by Toronto Metropolitan University and Mitacs for his academic achievements and revolutionary Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system. By integrating sensors, energy harvesting, and energy storage within a textile design, Eslami’s system can help diabetes patients detect glucose levels from bodily fluids, like sweat – with no painful self-checking procedures required.
