Leading an inevitable shift

A vibrant, bright display of creativity, inclusion and diversity at this year’s Mass Exodus

On April 6, Toronto’s glitterati came out to witness a new generation of fashion designers at Mass Exodus, the School of Fashion’s annual runway show.

This year’s theme was An Inevitable Shift, grounded in celebrating diversity and inclusion in fashion. Students used their collections to champion change in the industry, whether it be by turning the gender binary on its head or including cultural diversity in their designs.

Trailblazing artist and academic Vivek Shraya was the curator, handpicking 19 of the students’ collections, and this was the first Mass Exodus for Ben Barry as the new School of Fashion chair.
