Options for Working Remotely
Using a web browser, Toronto Metropolitan University employees can connect to the university’s web-based resources while off campus. Read below for instructions on how to access specific resources.
VPN Access
The Toronto Metropolitan University VPN (RU-VPN2) provides a secure connection to the university's Administrative system via the Internet. Employees who use Adobe CQ/AEM to update university websites or otherwise access sensitive online materials will need to request VPN access and install the GlobalProtect software on their home computer.

Toronto Metropolitan University employees are entitled to free access to the Microsoft 365 suite on their home computers. Use your my.ryerson credentials to log into the Microsoft Office 365 (external link) and download the software.

Voicemail
Employees can access their Toronto Metropolitan University voicemail remotely using the following steps:
- Dial 416-979-5244
- Follow the system prompts and input your Toronto Metropolitan University credentials

Zoom is a software platform that provides remote conferencing services, such as video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.
