Watch Party Information

If you are unable to attend the live-stream of your ceremony, we’ve got you covered! Here’s a step-by-step guide to plan a watch party for family and friends so you can celebrate together!

1.

First, check that you've been approved to graduate–do so on RAMSS. This will ensure that you're name is indeed included in the ceremony replay.

2.

Next, grab the link to your ceremony replay link below. This will only be available after your initial ceremony live-stream (check ceremony dates and times).

3.

Now, compile a guest list. Who do you want to be with you as you celebrate your academic achievements?

4.
Decide whether you'd like your watch party to be a virtual or in-person event. Each are great in their own way. In-person? Make sure you follow COVID-19 guidelines, external link. Can't decide? Consider a hybrid event.

5.
It's time to choose a date! Maybe poll your guests to find the best time. Make sure you factor in any religious/cultural observances or big events that may impact attendance.

6.
Invite your guests! Send them the details (link/address, date and time, length, gifts/snacks etc.). Collect RSVPs so you know who's going to make it. Then, send a reminder a few days ahead of your event.

7.

Before your big day, consider decorations, food, and activities. Do a double-check for any technology needed to watch the replay (Zoom, AV cables and setup, internet connection etc.).

8.

The big day is here! It's time to get together and watch your ceremony! Again, you can grab that link on YouTube, external link.

9.

Make sure you share your big day with us on social media using #RUgrad2021. Congratulations on your big day!
