Faculty are marshaled for the Academic Procession outside the Kerr Hall North West  doors leading into the Quad. If the weather is inclement, please wait inside the Kerr Hall West hallway. Be here 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

Black academic gowns are required for all Academic Procession participants and are supplied by the university. They are available in the Lower Gym (KHW73) the day of your ceremony. Give yourself enough time to sign-out your gown and be in the marshaling area in time. We don’t have a secure area for coat check, so please leave all valuables in your office.

Academic hoods are the responsibility of the individual faculty member. If you would like to wear a hood you can purchase one at external, or external, Wearing a hood is not required but does add to the “splendor” of the Academic Procession.
