As the recipient of the Second Chance Award and the Zonta Award, I have been able to meet my educational and basic needs.     • Department: In the spring 2014, Dr. Idil Atak along with Dr. Graham Hudson and Dr. Delphine Nakache (School of International Development and Global Studies, University of Ottawa) were awarded a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Insight Grant for their research entitled “Securitization of migration and asylum in Canada: A comparative analysis of policy consequences and human rights impact".
