How to apply - Prospective transfer students

Ryerson University is a diverse community actively accepting students who have previous post-secondary education.  Students may apply for Transfer Credits once they receive an Offer of Admission.

Undergraduate Students
  • Prospective students who have completed courses at other Ontario post-secondary institutions can refer to the ONTransfer website for unofficial transfer credit information.
  • Advanced standing and transfer credit eligibility is determined by the admission process.
  • If you are a prospective student, please contact the ServiceHub for questions related to advanced standing.
  • Once Ryerson has confirmed receipt of your application for admission, you can apply for Transfer Credits to obtain unofficial results if established equivalencies exist in the Transfer Credit database.
  • Transfer credit applications are processed after May 1.
    • Ryerson’s yearly transfer credit processing cycle is May 1 to April 30.
    • This means if you are admitted for the upcoming fall term (e.g. September, 2016) and you submit a transfer credit application before May 1, although you may be able to receive unofficial results, your application will be processed after May 1.
    • Courses that require faculty assessment, require the submission of detailed course outlines and decisions may take up to eight weeks.  You will be requested to submit these course outlines after May 1.

Chang School Certificate Students
Graduate Students
  • As a Yeates School of Graduate Studies student you are eligible to apply for Transfer Credits if you have completed graduate level coursework but have not been awarded a graduate degree.
