Steve Naraine Early Innovation Prize
Join us at the virtual Pitch Competition
Thursday May 21st | 2-4pm
For students, one of the best indicators of future success is access to mentorship and support. However, an often cited barrier to pursuing self-driven projects is access to funding.
The Steve Naraine Early Innovation Prize aims to bridge that gap by providing a prize of $2,000 for one student to assist with expenses related to developing their startup idea within the SDZ. Applicants should demonstrate a passion to pursue their project and a willingness to share and collaborate with others in the SDZ.
Selection and Administration:
Select applicants will be shortlisted to a group of finalists based on their written business plans (to be submitted in their application form) and will be invited to make a 5-8 minute pitch presentation in front of a judging panel. The judges will collectively determine a prize winner based on criteria to be shared with shortlisted finalists.
