Visual Representation of Diversity Data for 2SLGBTQ+ Employees at Ryerson

I have been at Ryerson for about 10 years or so. I identify as a queer trans guy. I went through my gender transition here at the university. I waited, consciously and unconsciously, until I had gotten tenure because I knew that transitioning would take a toll on my professional life.

Dr. Art Blake, Professor, History

2SLGBTQ+ is an acronym used for Ryerson’s Employee Diversity Self ID to refer to people, as a group, who identify as Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Trans, Gender Independent, Queer and Questioning. The plus sign acknowledges the many sexual and gender minority people who don't see themselves in the umbrella acronym and prefer other identity terms such as pansexual, gender-free, or intersex.
