Work with the DI to help your organization leverage the power of diversity and inclusion today
Research has shown that the following individuals and groups play important roles in driving the creation and growth of small and medium enterprises:
- racialized minorities
- indigenous peoples
- persons with disabilities
At the same time, there is also evidence that they have less access to support and services provided by government, community organizations and the private sector in part because of challenges navigating the system and in part because of barriers and unconscious bias.
Working with a diverse range of organizations, the Diversity Institute has developed a series of tools to help organizations supporting entrepreneurs, including incubators and service providers, to ensure that their processes are accessible and inclusive. Drawing on extensive research on gender and diversity analysis and mainstreaming, we have simplified the research to address six key areas which organizations should examine.
