The School of Early Childhood Studies is is home to an active and multidisciplinary research enterprise.
Our research centres bring together scholars, students, professionals and members of the community to address research questions and generate new knowledge.
The Toronto Metropolitan University Early Learning Centre (ELC) is the school's licensed laboratory early learning and child care centre.
The GRC works in partnership with the School of Early Childhood Studies, gaining knowledge and expertise by collaborating with the faculty and staff.
Responsive Ecologies Lab (RE/Lab)
RE/lab investigates the social, cultural, educational, and design factors surrounding the emergent ‘Internet of Things’ and creates novel tools and interfaces to ensure that technologies become a more meaningful and useful part of our lives.
