Student Research

Ryerson’s School of Early Childhood Studies supports undergraduate and graduate students to pursue innovative avenues of research that promote the wellbeing of young children and their families.

Undergraduate students in our Research Methods II course have the exciting opportunity to propose and carry out a research project on a range of topics in early childhood. Some projects are implemented within Ryerson’s Early Learning Centre.

Our graduate students create new insight into a variety of research topics, ranging from kindergarten children's perspective on gender in play materials, to the representation of diversity in children's literature.

Many of our graduate students contribute timely evidence to the field by publishing in academic journals.
