Biography:

Susan Howson is a sessional faculty member at Ryerson University and international best-selling author. Howson has been teaching at Ryerson University, in both the full-time and part-time program for over 15 years.  Courses taught include, Interpersonal Communication, Working with Students with Special Needs, Inclusion and Consultation, Emotional Intelligence, Multiple Intelligences, Introduction to Therapeutic Interventions, Social and Emotional Development. She has also supervised full-time and part-time students in every type of field placement required for their degree. Howson has spoken internationally on working with children with special learning needs, character development, restorative justice, anti-bullying, emotional intelligence, multiple intelligences, peace building, team building, coaching skills for parents and teachers, building self-esteem and self-awareness.

Howson maintains a private practice in Toronto coaching children, youth and families. She has developed and teaches the Kids Coaching Connection program that is a fully accredited ACSTH program with the International Coach Federation. She has also developed products that teach positive values and self esteem.
