Ameerah Farran graduated from Ryerson University in 2015 with a bachelor of arts in Early Childhood Studies, however received her Early Childhood Education diploma from George Brown College in 2013. Ameerah’s journey at Ryerson’s Early Learning Centre began as a supply staff, covering shifts in the toddler, preschool and kindergarten rooms. She adapted quickly in her environment and learned how to prioritize, organize, manage and problem solve efficiently in the classroom. Her current work experience as a full-time RECE in the toddler-preschool room has allowed her to enhance her knowledge in working with children, families and surrounding educators.
Her greatest pleasures include travelling and immersing herself in different cultures around the globe as a lifelong learner. Ameerah has previously interned internationally in Cartagena, Colombia, as well as Istanbul, Turkey teaching English to preschool, kindergarten, and grade nine students.
