I am a graduate of Ryerson University and have been teaching in the Early Learning Centre for more than 27 years. I am passionate and committed to delivering an innovative inquiry-based curriculum for young children. I wrote an article entitled The dance of emergent curriculum that was published in Interaction Magazine (Spring, 2000), and have collaboratively developed and presented multiple workshops for early childhood education colleagues and early childhood studies student teachers. I am committed to developing strategies to assist student teachers in their capacity for self-reflection, and in the development of an inquiry-based pedagogy. To promote my own professional development and curriculum knowledge, I attended a study week in Reggio Emilia, Italy in May, 2015.
