Find a Supervisor

Professor and student in a lab

Your supervisor is your teacher, your mentor, your guide. Finding the right one for you is the key to making the most of your time as a graduate student.

To find a professor with research interests that align with yours, visit our Programs page. Through our programs, you can explore the wide variety of research being conducted in your field and learn about professors’ individual research interests. To further optimize your supervisor search, consider exploring our areas of Research Expertise.

For MASc and PhD students, finding a supervisor is a program-specific process and it may be your responsibility to find a faculty member who agrees to supervise your graduate research work. Please contact your graduate program administrator to learn more about this process as it applies to you, and consult the Yeates School of Graduate Studies’ Tips for Finding a Prospective Supervisor.
