A stimulating discussion and debate on the present state and future direction of the Humanities, featuring Marianne Hirsch, Past President (2013-14) of the Modern Languages Association (MLA); John Ralston Saul, President of PEN International and Distinguished Visiting Professor, Ryerson University; and Stephen Slemon, President of the Association of Community College and University Teachers of English (ACCUTE). Moderated by Irene Gammel, Canada Research Chair in Modern Literature and Culture, Ryerson University.
