Tamar Myers, Director, Research, Planning and Assessment

Research, Planning and Assessment is one of the units that make up the Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion (OVPECI). Led by Tamar Myers, this unit oversees Ryerson’s employee and student diversity self-id surveys, and reporting on recruitment, representation and retention of students, staff and faculty from the university’s five equity seeking groups: women; racialized people; Aboriginal Peoples, persons with disabilities and 2SLGBTQ+ people.


What we do 

The Research, Planning and Assessment unit supports the Ryerson’s equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives through:

  • the collection, analysis and reporting of Ryerson diversity data
  • tracking progress on advancing equity, diversity and inclusion at Ryerson
  • coordinating the development of OVPECI plans, projects, tools, initiatives and proposals
  • researching and sharing best practices in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion at Ryerson and within the university sector in Canada
