Members are not required to have disclose their disability in the workplace and have the option to participate through a confidential listserv only.

What we do

We bring together employees with lived experience of disability to support each other through our shared understanding and experiences. We also raise awareness and advocate to promote an equitable and inclusive workplace for all.

The group meets on a regular basis on a range of topics determined by member interest. Potential objectives include:

  • providing peer support and mentoring;
  • fostering a of community of belonging;
  • facilitating discussion and ideas to enhance the experience of employees with disabilities at Ryerson;
  • supporting the retention and career development of employees with disabilities;
  • sharing strategies and tools; and
  • serve as a liaison to address identified issues or barriers to inclusion.
