December 6th Memorial

Dec 6th is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Fourteen women (13 of them engineering students) were gunned down at L’Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal simply because they were women.

Every year Ryerson hosts a memorial to mourn lives lost then and in 2017, reflect and renew a commitment to end violence against women. This year we focus on uprooting misogyny with a performance by Vivek Shraya performing Part-Time Woman w/ Queer Songbook Orchestra.

The organizers strive to create accessible and inclusive spaces for its members. If we require additional accommodations to ensure your participation, please e-mail osvse@ryerson.

This event was brought to you by; Consent Comes First Office; Office of the VP Equity and Community Inclusion; Student Affairs, Ryerson Student Union, CESAR, Human Right Services, Human Resources, Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science.
