Pride 2018 is almost here and Positive Space has been busy planning exciting events for employees to celebrate diversity and inclusion in our community!
June 4 | 12:15 to 1 p.m. | Kerr Hall/JOR Bridge
Join us in the Victoria Laneway by the bridge between Kerr Hall and Jorgenson to kick off Pride celebrations. Remarks will begin at 12:30 p.m.
June 4 | 5 p.m. | Glad Day, 499 Church Street
Join us for an off-campus after-work social to celebrate Pride. Partners, friends and family are always welcome!
June 4 - 19 | Your own workplace
Sign up for the annual decoration contest and we'll connect with you to arrange a specific time slot for our judges to drop by.
June 6 | 3 - 5 p.m. | 7th Floor Heaslip House
Register for this learning and sharing circle about the plurality of Indigenous genders and the history behind the “Two-Spirit” term. Everyone is welcome.
June 7 | 1 - 4 p.m. | Pod 60A CRC
Join the Consent Comes First Office and Positive Space for an afternoon of self/community care with DIY crafts.
June 8 | 10 - 11 a.m. | POD 250
Register to bring kids to join you for this all-ages event. Fun for the young and the young at heart! You don’t need to bring a kid to enjoy this event.
June 18 | 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m | 7th Floor Heaslip House
Register to explore the difference between equity and equality for queer and trans staff and how we can all contribute to creating positive spaces on campus.
June 19 | 12 - 2 p.m. | POD-250
Join us to celebrate Pride, enjoy some refreshments and find out who won this year’s #DisplayYour Pride contest.
Show your commitment to creating an inclusive environment for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions by printing a copy of our Pride poster (PDF) to display in your workstation or common spaces.
