Business Operations

Business operations supports projects like the IMA renovation.

Led by Executive Director Janet Hercz and Senior Manager Leon Roussos, the Business Operations team supports the financial operations, communications, human resources and administrative activities of the Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) department.

In addition to working closely with all the units within Facilities, the team also works closely with various business administration departments across the university including Financial Services, Procurement, the University Planning Office and the Provost's office.

What we do

The team is responsible for overall planning and resource allocation as well as ensuring strong internal control and compliance mechanisms are in place to help Facilities in meeting its organizational goals effectively. Activities include:

  • operational planning
  • annual budget preparation and submission
  • financial reporting
  • project cost control management 
  • purchase order preparation and vendor payments
