Ryerson University’s Facilities Planning, Sustainability, Capital Development and Real Estate units are led by Executive Director, Mark Dettweiler. This team oversees the planning, acquisition and development of the university’s properties and facilities in support of the university’s mission and mandate, and in alignment with the goals of the Master Plan.

Project Management Office

Ryerson University’s Project Management Office (PMO) is dedicated to planning, coordinating and managing all renovations, new construction and deferred maintenance projects for Ryerson’s built environment.

PMO staff include project managers and coordinators with professional training and designations in the areas of:

  • building and landscape architecture;
  • project management science;
  • construction management;
  • mechanical, electrical and civil engineering;
  • interior design;
  • architectural technology; and
  • building science.

Planning and Development

Ryerson University is dedicated to developing spaces that reflect the principles of the Master Plan, encourage cross-disciplinary collaborations, and foster creativity and innovation.

The Planning and Development team, led by director Nic de Salaberry, supports this mission in numerous ways, including site planning, dialogue with City of Toronto planners and community, and policy development.

Real Estate
