Updated: Kerr Hall Quad restorations
Update: The centre of the Quad is expected to remain hoarded until late October to allow for the completion of resodding and seeding, which requires several weeks to stabilize. During this time, it is essential that people stay off the grass to avoid any damage or delays. Please continue to observe all signage in and around the area.

As part of the public realm improvements, the Kerr Hall Quad will undergo a planned closure beginning in June to allow for significant and necessary restoration work to the Recreation and Athletics Centre (RAC) drainage system. Additional work in the Quad includes accessibility improvements to entranceways in the northwest and northeast corners.
The project timeline is subject to change depending upon weather and site conditions. Any confirmed timeline updates will be reflected in this service alert.

How this may impact you
During construction, access to the Quad will be restricted to project workers only. Neighbouring spaces (such as the RAC, Ryerson Theatre, Kerr Hall labs and classrooms, etc.) are expected to remain open and accessible.
Every effort will be made to reduce the negative impact of this work, however some noise and debris will be unavoidable. Signage will be posted to identify safe and accessible alternate routes where applicable.
