Marielle Dubbeling is the Director of RUAF Foundation-Global Partnership on Sustainable Urban Agriculture and Food Systems (www.ruaf.org (external link) ). She has over 20 years’ of experience in urban and peri-urban agriculture as an urban food security, income and climate change adaptation strategy and works since 3 years on city region food systems in the context of sustainable and resilient cities and rural-urban linkages. Her main fields of expertise are multi stakeholder dialogue and communication, action planning and policy advocacy and design; the integration of urban agriculture and food systems into land use planning, city development and sectoral urban policies (food security, economic development, climate change) and participatory learning and training (training of trainers, NGO and government staff). She has working experience in Latin America, South-East Asia, South East and Francophone Africa, the Middle East and Europe. She is and has been project coordinator for different research and development programmes funded by amongst others UNEP, UN Habitat , World Bank, UN FAO, the Dutch, Swiss and Canadian Development Corporation.

Marielle has co-developed the "Urban Agriculture" course series offered through the Chang School of Continuing Education.
