Kate Salter is Senior Legal Counsel at Ryerson University, providing legal and strategic advice and assistance to senior management and other university clients in the areas of corporate and commercial law, construction, information technology, public procurement, and privacy. Kate Salter was a corporate commercial lawyer at Toronto Community Housing Corporation from 2013-2017 practicing commercial law with an emphasis on construction and public procurement. Prior to that, Kate practiced construction litigation at McCarthy Tetrault LLP
Kate received her law degree from Queen’s Law School in 2009. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McGill University.
Kate is actively involved in the community and is the co-founder of GoodFood Help, a food insecurity relief initiative.
