Centre for Global Health and Health Equity

Established at Ryerson University in 2010, the Centre for Global Health & Health Equity promotes health equity through an interdisciplinary team of researchers whose work is informed by common principles of equity, social justice, and health as a human right. Our Centre Associates from Nursing, Geography, Social Work, Psychology, Nutrition and Early Childhood Education conduct research investigating the social determinants of health.

Our Centre is committed to cutting-edge research and dissemination initiatives that promote greater health equity locally, nationally, and globally. Through partnerships with external researchers, alliances with other centres and research capacity-building opportunities for students, the Centre aims to take global health research to a level that informs both policy development and social development.
