Access G Suite on Your Mobile Device

Previously, setting up your Ryerson G Suite account on a mobile device required use of a Google token, a separate password. This is no longer the case. Mobile device setup can be done simply using your Ryerson username, password, and your two-factor authentication method if you have configured this for G Suite.

In addition, you can access G Suite services using mobile apps. Download and install G Suite apps, external link from the Google Play Store (Android devices) or the App Store (iOS devices).

Options for Access


Use the native G Suite mail, contacts, and calendar apps on your Android. These instructions are for users with a Nexus or Google Play edition device.

 


Most Android phones have mobile versions of Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, and Google Talk pre-installed. You can download other mobile apps like Docs for free from Android's Play Store. To begin using these apps, follow these steps to add the account to your phone.

Access other apps such as Docs and Tasks from your Android's browser app. Just point the browser to m.google.com, touch the app you want to use, and sign in to your G Suite account with your full Ryerson Gmail email address including the @ryerson.ca

NOTE: This method does NOT require using a Google Token, but instead, use your my.ryerson password.

  1. On the Google log in page, enter your full Ryerson email address in the username field. Do not enter a password on this page.
  2. Click Sign In. You will be redirected to CAS.
  3. Sign in with your my.ryerson username and password.

 

Options for Access


Set up your iPhone, using its native applications, to sync your email, contacts, and calendars.

 


Alternately access Gmail using our Gmail app for iOS, which combines features from Gmail's mobile browser and iOS. It's available for free from Apple's Apps store. external. external,Learn more

NOTE: This method does NOT require using a Google Token, but instead, your full Ryerson Gmail address with the @ryerson.ca and your my.ryerson password.

  1. On the Google log in page, enter your full Ryerson email address in the username field. Do not enter a password on this page.

  3. Sign in with your my.ryerson user name and password.

Options for Access


Use the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to set up your Ryerson Gmail and will also allow you to sync your Google Calendar and Contacts.

 


Astrasync is a 3rd party tool recommended by CCS to synchronize your email, calendar and contacts with your Blackberry device. The cost for an Astrasync licence is $49 for the first year with discounts available for the following year(s).

 


Access your Ryerson Gmail through the BlackBerry email client.
