Edward Shim

Edward Shim is Managing Director of Studio 1 Labs, a Canadian technology company. Edward was awarded among the 2021 Globe and Mail Best Executives in Canada, recognized for his leadership journey and innovations through the invention of electronic fabric systems, collaborations across academia, industry, and governments, and building business relations through value-based exchange. He attributes much of his global business successes to continuing education studies at Toronto Metropolitan University, and is now appointed to the Toronto Metropolitan University Board in 2021. Also a Military Veteran, Paratrooper, and Humanitarian Award Recipient during service in the Canadian Armed Forces, Edward aims to create opportunities to be fulfilling and rewarding, by providing his diversity of experiences to benefit future generations throughout their journeys in life.
