I am a Media Professional with 25 years’ experience in broadcast and digital environments. I have worked in radio news, television current affairs, and for the last nine years in the digital space, creating parent-focused educational content. I am passionate about making content that is unique, helpful and inspiring, and that gives voice to the under-served. I am proud to say I have won a few awards for the parent website that I helped build from the ground up. I am a results-driven leader, known for mentoring teams to reach their full potentials. I have successfully grown online communities, and am fascinated by what motivates users to interact and engage. I am someone who wants to share what I know and to keep on learning myself, as demonstrated by my participation in the MDM program.
Why Digital Media?
I have extensive experience leading teams to create and distribute broadcast and digital content within media organizations. I would like to broaden my knowledge and skills so I can be of service in the greater marketplace. I believe that all companies, from non-profits searching for donors, to banks soliciting clients, need experienced content experts who can meet business goals through the creation of useful and engaging digital media. I am confident that the Master of Digital Media program, with its entrepreneurial focus, will enhance my current expertise to be of value in many sectors across multi-platforms.
