Civil Engineering PhD student wins 2018 Ryerson 3MT® Competition
Lama Al Faseeh, a Civil Engineering PhD candidate, was named this year’s Ryerson 3-Minute Thesis (3MT®) winner for her research on the impact of introducing autonomous vehicles into traffic with human drivers.
“As PhD students, we hardly have any spare time but I wanted to challenge myself with the 3MT. My hard work paid off in the end, so I’m very happy,” said Al Faseeh, who thanked her supervisor Dr. Bilal Farooq and postdoctoral fellow Shadi Djavadian for their support. “I love Ryerson and I’m very proud and excited to represent the university at the Ontario 3MT®.”
Al Faseeh will compete at the Ontario 3MT®, hosted by York University on April 19. If you would like to to go to York to support Lama, contact firstname.lastname@example.org!
