What to Expect

Nursing students in a classroom

Learn, Grow, and Challenge Yourself

Our Graduate Nursing programs set the bar for excellence with small class sizes and exceptional faculty.

Classes are interactive and intense. Expect to be an active participate and spend 10 to 15 hours preparing for each course, every week.

Most classes meet 3 hours a week (36 hours/semester) between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, at the school.

The mandatory MN8904 Practicum in Professional Nursing Advancement will put you in a challenging practice setting for 16 hours a week over 12 weeks.  It’s a hands-on, in-depth opportunity to develop the real-life skills you’ll need to expand your role and enhance your career.

Course requirements, assignments and methods of evaluation vary.  Expect scholarly papers, seminar presentations, exams, and evaluations from yourself, your peers, and your instructors.

Students who excel in this program usually have strong time management and organizational skills, solid communications abilities, and good study habits.
