December Break

Residence is closed: 12:00 noon December 14, 2019 – 12:00 noon January 5, 2020

Students must vacate: 24 hours after their last exam or at 12 noon on December 14, 2019, whichever comes first

We ask that students leave residence in a timely fashion after their exams for several reasons. By having only students who still need to write exams in residence, there is less noise and fewer distractions for studying.

Housing & Residence Life staff will also conduct room inspections of the buildings during the break to inspect fire safety systems and conduct routine maintenance.

Extension Requests

If you need to stay later than 24 hours after your last exam, you must submit an extension request to the Housing & Residence Life office.

Open: November 8, 2019

Deadline: November 22, 2019

Response Results
All extension requests submitted by the deadline will be responded to by November 30, 2019.

For Students Who Have Requested to Stay Over the Mid-Year Break
Please complete the extended stay request ( Please choose “Other” as your reason and enter “Staying for Mid-year Break” as your reason for stay. The extension date should be set to December, 14, 2019.
