Career Development Program

Take action for your career

This program focuses on empowering employees to complete self-assessments and then develop a personal plan of action to reach short and long-term goals. Participants will:

  • attend one-on-one and group sessions on career development topics;
  • receive guidance and direction to assist with career planning and execution;
  • develop a personal plan of action, practice self-reflection and evaluate progress at critical stages of the program.

How the program works

Designed with Ryerson’s values as a starting point, participants are able to take ownership of their career development by actively engaging in activities to foster their development.

Session topics include:

  • self-assessments to understand your own talents, interests, skills and career values
  • how to use your strengths to your advantage
  • career resilience to assist with challenges
  • cover letters, resumes and interviews that deliver results
  • building information interview and mentorship relationships
