Gender Transitioning

Transitioning refers to the process when an individual changes their name, pronouns and/or physical appearance so that they more accurately reflect the gender they identify with.

As an employer that values equity, diversity and inclusion, Ryerson is pleased to support employees who are transitioning. We know that employees are happiest when they are able to bring their whole selves to work, and we are continually working to provide an atmosphere that achieves this for all employees.

While transitioning is a highly personal and individual experience, the resources below outline the procedures for transitioning in the workplace and can be used to help Ryerson employees come to a greater understanding of transgender and transitioning issues.
