Despite being the youngest and fastest growing demographic, expanding at two times the annual rate of the general population, Indigenous employees are the most underrepresented compared to equity-deserving groups in higher education and the workforce, according to national employment statistics. Additionally, the most recent PDF fileRyerson Diversity Self-ID report showed that Indigenous employees group has the smallest number of employees at the university, with only 1% of employees identifying as Indigenous Peoples.
