Pension Plan Summary
The Ryerson Retirement Plan (RRPP) is designed to provide retirement income to plan members. It is a defined benefit pension plan, it is registered and it is contributory.
Membership is mandatory and effective from your date of hire if you are:
- a full-time career employee (FTCE), or
- a tenured or limited-term faculty member.
You are eligible for membership in the plan, but it is voluntary if you are a term employee who works more than 24 hours per week and has 12 consecutive months of service without interruption.

Ryerson reserves the right as sponsor of the Ryerson Retirement Pension Plan to amend the plan from time to time either in accordance with applicable legislation, or when deemed warranted by the University.
